It was a real case of keeping up with the Joneses for police in New York State who were led on a high speed chase clocking in at the 100 mph range in Yates County.
Authorities arrested a man named Indiana Z. Jones, 21, similarly named to the famous movie character, after he allegedly tried to evade a traffic stop and led police on a wild chase in the town of Rushville.
In a scene that could have played out in Raiders of the Lost Arc, the driver was only nabbed after his tires were punctured.
County Sheriff Ronald Spike says spike strips were used to puncture Jones' tires and after several miles, he was taken into custody, according to reports.
In the words of the famous swashbuckler: "It's not the age, it's the mileage."
Jones was charged with unlawfully fleeing police, speeding and having an unregistered, uninsured and uninspected vehicle. He posted $1,000 bail and was released. According to court officials, Jones does not have a lawyer.
