News reaching us now confirms that Nollywood veteran actress, Bukky Ajayi has passed on. It's reported that the octogenarian died earlier this morning.
As at the time of this post, the cause of her death is unknown. The last public appearance was on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, where she received a "Industry Merit Award".
She was visited at her home on June 15th ,2016 by her colleagues Joke Silva, Rita Dominic, Kate Henshaw and others.

Doctors have praised a man's penis a miracle after his it saved his life when he was struck by lightning.
41 year old, Zoran Jurkovic, from the small eastern Croatian village of Petrovci was listening to his headphones when a thunderstorm formed overhead and after being struck on the head by a bolt, it earthed itself through his penis.
The medics said that it was a miracle that the lightning charge had bypassed Zoran's chest and missed his heart. At the time he was wearing his work overalls, which included a high visibility jacket and thick old rubber boots.
MailOnline reports that because of the boots, the electricity was not able to earth through his feet, but after striking him on the head doctors claimed that instead of passing through his body – and most likely destroying his internal organs and stopping his heart – the electricity had followed the cables of the headphones.
They said it had then left his body by earthing through his genitals with the help of a small radio clipped to his belt.
The lucky escapee said:
"I saw black clouds and flashes of light appear in the sky and thunder could be heard booming across the nearby fields. I tried to ride faster to get to shelter in time, but I was too late."
Passers-by driving in a van witnessed the incident and one of them said:
"We were shocked when we saw the man. He was sitting in the rain and steam was coming out of his body."The bicycle was next to him. We took him in our van and drove him to the hospital. Doctors were also amazed that he was alive."

Lionel Messi has been sentenced to 21 months in jail for tax fraud by a Spanish court.
Under Spanish law any sentence under two years can be suspended meaning the Barcelona and former Argentina footballer is expected to avoid serving time in prison.
The 29-year-old, among the world's highest-earning athletes, was accused of creating a string of fake companies in Belize and Uruguay to avoid taxation on €4.16m (£3.2m) of image rights earnings between 2007 and 2009.
Messi, who took time out from Argentina's preparations for the Copa America tournament this summer, said in court last month: "I was playing football; I had no idea about anything. I trusted my dad and my lawyers."
The Argentinian's father Jorge Horacio Messi has also been handed the same punishment. The pair, who also face huge fines, can appeal their sentences through the Supreme Court.
During the trial, Messi said he never suspected any wrongdoing when his father would ask him to sign contracts or documents relating to his image rights, a lucrative source of income for any athlete of his calibre.
Witness Eva Blazquez, responsible for handling the four-time Champions League winner's tax declarations, said: "Leo didn't see them. The final supervision was done by the client, in this case, Jorge Messi."
Messi's father reiterated last month that his son didn't know the details of his contracts. "I didn't think it was necessary to inform him of everything," he said.

A Cameroonian man, Sharkan Lucas, on Wednesday made shocking revelations on how he took to having s*x with dead bodies due to constant rejection from ladies because he works as mortuary attendant.
Speaking on Ghanaian TV station ADOM TV, the mortician claimed that sleeping with the dead women (an act called necrophilia) was part of the training he received when he was hired at the hospital in Ghana.
Lucas said, "I do it many many times. That is the training you have to do that, because once you have done that you will not be afraid of them again. If you want to bath the dead body, you will carry her legs up to wash her private part, that's why we are taught to learn to sleep with the corpses. When I am inside the mortuary, I see some fresh girls and I satisfy myself.
"Being with dead bodies is normal for me because I am with them day and night. I feel like they are living whenever I am at work.
"Besides, I wanted to marry but the girl says I am a mortuary man. I can satisfy myself at the mortuary because girls don't want to date me outside or live with me for fear that I may kill them. Living women rejected me because of my job, that is why I am still single.
"Since I was born, I have never slept with a living being. Working in a mortuary is a gift God gave me, it's my talent. It's very rare, not everybody can do it.
"I am okay, I have no mental issues," he added.
Meanwhile, Lucas said he was sacked shortly after he divulged his affairs on camera.
He said, "When I got back to work three day after (yesterday), my colleague said my supervisor brought policemen to arrest me. They did not let me go near the mortuary again and I have worked with them for 2 years and 6 months and I have not been paid.
"I want them to pay my money so I can go back to my country," Lucas said.

An exhausted wife has taken her s*x-crazed husband to court to stop him making love to her ten hours every day. Lebogang Malatji, 37, said Mashudhu Chauke, 47, wanted to do it in the morning, afternoon, and 5 times in the night.
A traditonal court at Matiyane Village, Limpopo, heard how each session lasted 90 minutes after he swigged African love potion umvusakunzi. She said he would beat her if she did not comply. In his defence Mashudhu said his problems started after an organ operation went wrong.
"My scrotum used to swell with fluid. It was painful and the only option was to be operated on. After the operation that is when lights went out for me. I couldn't get an erection," he said.
"My uncle whose ancestry is of Khoi-San origin advised me to take umvusakunzi (a s*x enhancing herbal drink). After that my s*x life became phenomenal," he added.But the s*xual urge has become way too much for him.
"At times I masturbate, even before and after s*x. I just can't get enough," he said. "I am a man who takes his bedroom life seriously. When I am about to reach climax I stop a bit and start to kiss my partner and resume after a few minutes,"
The Chief advised the couple to go for counseling and barred Mashudhu from beating or verbally insulting Lebogang in any way.
